The letting go guide

As a professional photographer for the last 15 years, helping people preserve their memories has always been at the heart of what I do. The Memory Maid grew naturally from that work—as a way to help busy families not just capture their moments, but actually enjoy them.

Though I’m still behind the camera sometimes, I’ve shifted my focus to photo organizing so I can spend more time at home with my own growing family. Now, I get to work with people who, like me, LOVE photos—but feel a little (or maybe a lot) overwhelmed by the sheer volume.

If you’re the designated memory-keeper in your family, I see you. I’m here to help you clear the chaos and bring your stories into view—so they’re not just saved, but truly savored.

Hey, I'm Charlene.

I’m a new mom, a happy wife, and totally in love with our little family life.

I’m also a dog mom to two Great Danes—gentle giants with big personalities.

I first picked up a professional camera 17 years ago, and after thousands of sessions and hundreds of weddings, I still absolutely love documenting life for people!

I’m a social coffee drinker—if there’s a latte involved (plus more sugar than coffee), I’m in.

Gilmore Girls is my comfort show, and yes… I’ve watched it all the way through at least 20 times. It's my go-to background noise while I work!

One of my Great Danes is a certified therapy dog—we’ve done over 400 volunteer visits together!

Just come for the fun facts? I got you.

I’m a first-generation college grad and a proud Ohio State University alum, with a degree in Early Childhood Development and Education (which came in handy as a nanny while I built my business & will be even more useful when I start homeschooling our little one!).

I love music more than most things in life—my mom and I went to 25 concerts in 2018, our personal record!

Restaurants? Condado is my everyday favorite, but The Melting Pot is my go-to for special celebrations.

I’m obsessed with fall, but I go all in for Christmas too—I've even done full Elf on the Shelf photo series with my dog and cat (pre-mom life!).

I have a thing for fast or lyrically intricate songs and know way too many lyrics by heart—it’s my secret party trick.

That's what led to me offering photo organizing services, after a decade and a half as a professional photographer. Your memories have always been important to me. Let's make sure they are never lost in a fire or stuck in the cloud. Your important moments don't deserve to be shoved in a box in the attic -- let's put them in an album that your family can enjoy, a wall gallery that will make you smile every day, or a digital frame that will keep those beautiful moments flashing in front of you at every glance.

In January 2025, our family lost someone important.

my "why"

Let's start with the recent stuff: your phone! You've documented your kids' events, your vacations, every holiday, and so much in between - all with that little device in your hand! Are those photos backed up somewhere? For some of you, the answer might even be yes - but what happens if technology fails you? Will you lose those memories forever? I'll organize & backup all of your digital photos for safekeeping, easy access, and peace of mind.

I can create photo books, so you can truly enjoy these photos. After all, you took them for a reason!

Once we organize your phone photos (and anything else you store digitally, whether it's on social media, iCloud, Shutterfly, old hard drives or computers, memory cards from that one camera you had in 2009, etc!), I'd love to chat with you about your old prints, too! I offer digitizing services, so those older photos will be safe from fire or natural disaster, too.

So, how can I help YOU?

let's do this!

WHAT TO EXPECT

chanda Y.

I had no idea just how overwhelming my phone photos had become until I tried to gather photos for my son's graduation party. From sports to school dances, vacations, holidays, and all the moments in between, everything was "in the cloud" but I had no idea how to get it all printed so I could look back on these memories and enjoy them. Charlene got it all organized and printed beautiful photo books - I'm so grateful!

What a brilliant service! Charlene is the best!

I hike a lot, travel a lot, and mostly I take a lot of photos of my dogs. I had a heap of old memory cards from an old camera in college, three cell phones full of pictures I never moved to the cloud, and a big box of prints from my high school years. Charlene handled all of it and now I have a system in place to keep up with moving forward. The best part is that with everything backed up, I'm no longer worried about losing photos, like I did when I dropped my phone off a rollercoaster at Kennywood LOL!

I never have to worry about losing a single memory!

I've taken so many photos over the past twelve years since becoming a Mom. My camera roll was over 120,000 photos and I had tons of duplilcates and screen shots of recipes and craft ideas I knew I'd never come back to. The Memory Maid was such a no-brainer! I loved working with Charlene, and truthfully she did all the work! I'm left with a lovely photo library that's easy to access and enjoy, and I can always find that one photo my daughter needs the night before a project.

Hands down the best investment I've made in parenthood.
